The research and teaching activities of distinguished professors from the universities of Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano, St.Gallen, and Zurich, as well as from ETH Zurich and EPFL, promote expertise in the Swiss financial sector, helping it maintain its competitiveness. Another Swiss education and research institution, the University of Basel, is now joining this network. Thanks to the focus of its Faculty of Business and Economics on research issues related to Fintech, digital banking, innovative finance, and financial market regulation, the University of Basel ideally complements the existing group of SFI partner institutions.
