The Swiss Finance Institute is pleased to announce its 2026 Annual Meeting, dedicated to the theme "AI and Its Impact on Finance." As artificial intelligence reshapes the financial industry, from risk management and trading to client services, this year's Annual Meeting brings together leading voices from industry, research, and policy to explore what these transformations mean for practitioners and institutions alike.

Four distinguished keynote speakers will anchor the program: SFI Prof. Markus Leippold, Professor of Financial Engineering, UZH, and Senior Chair, SFI; Beatriz Martin, Member of the Group Executive Board, Group Chief Operating Officer and President UBS EMEA, UBS Group AG; Dr. Imanol Schlág, Research Scientist, ETH AI Center, and co-lead, Apertus models developed by the Swiss AI Initiative; and Prof. Sandra Wachter, Professor of Technology and Regulation at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, and Humboldt Professor of Technology and Regulation, Hasso Plattner Institute as keynote speakers. 

Together, they will offer perspectives spanning large-scale banking operations, frontier AI research, monetary and financial stability, and the governance of emerging technologies, providing attendees with a uniquely comprehensive view of the opportunities and challenges that AI presents for the financial sector.

The Event will open with welcome remarks from Prof. François Degeorge, Managing Director, SFI, and Dr. Stefan Seiler, Head Group Human Resources & Corporate Services and Member of the Group Executive Board, UBS Group AG, and Chairman of the Foundation Board, SFI. The event will bemoderated by Carolin Roth, business journalist.

The SFI Annual Meeting will take place on-site at Lake Side in Zurich and is free of charge. Please note that this is a public event, and that parts will be filmed and photos will be taken for marketing purposes. This event is not recognized as an SAQ recertification activity.
