Research Statement
I conduct research on financial intermediation with a focus on the interconnectedness between banks and non-banks. My job market paper is the first to investigate synthetic risk transfers, an instrument through which banks sell the first losses of a portfolio to the non-bank financial system, while keeping the assets on their balance sheets.
